International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) announced today that Ana Rosa Castellain from Brazil received a four-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected out-of- competition on 30 November 2021, revealed the presence of Metandienone which is listed in Section S1.1 of the WADA Prohibited List as an Anabolic Androgenic Steroid.
The athlete’s period of ineligibility will conclude on 11 January 2026. Until that time, the Athlete is subject to a prohibition against participation purusant to Article 10.4.1 of the IPF Anti-Doping Rules.
