Dear friends,
Today, we’re saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Ibrahim Bangura, the President and founder of the Sierra Leone Powerlifting Federation. On behalf of the IPF Executive Committee, we send to our sincerest condolences to Mr. Bangura’s family, his many colleagues and friends, as well as the athletes of the Sierra Leone Powerlifting Federation.
We especially want to take this opportunity to recognize Ibrahim for his work, and devotion to establishing and developing the sport of Powerlifting in Sierra Leone.
Notably, Mr. Bangura served as the Director for Sport in Sierra Leone. May Ibrahim rest in peace. May he always be remembered.
