The IPF is shocked that our friends in Ukraine have been attacked

In the 21st century we would never have believed that something like this would happen again in Europe after the lessons of World War II. We are deeply saddened by what is going on. We will pray for all of our friends and the community.

Sport brings people together and in that sense I appeal to both sides not to play out hate politics against each other, but all sides should speak out against a war and express that instead of presenting themselves with weapons or slogans on social media .

Let's remember that in sports Ukraine and Russia have always supported each other and we could never have imagined such a scenario. For us in sport it is clear that we cannot allow or support any aggression from anyone. In the end a war only has losers. It doesn't matter how it turns out. Every death is one too many. When a country plans a war on the day they celebrate their victory over World War II, it is incomprehensible. Thinking of all friends who are going through a difficult time right now and we hope that you are as safe as possible or that this madness ends before any more damage is done.

As an IPF family, we should all stand united and pray that this will end as soon as possible.
