I was recently invited by the Iran Powerlifting Federation to Tehran.
One of the top priorities on the mission was to visit the Rezabehesht Charity Foundation. This is a centre for disabled athletes which supports athletes from many sports in
providing the adequate training facilities for them. In the centre all athletes also receive medical support as well as professional guidance for their training. The whole centre will be financed via charity events.
"When I arrived, the staff and the present athletes had a very warm welcome for our delegation.“
"I was really impressed about the high standard of the centre, the professionalism and the dedication to strength training. I also realised that the responsible persons who are running the center are doing this with passion and supporting all athletes from kids age up to senior level. This is a role model how such a centre should work“.
I will continue my visit in Iran in meeting with sport authorities from the sports ministry and NOC as well as with athletes and officials from various powerlifting clubs in the country.
