On behalf of the International Powerlifting Federation I want to express my sincerest congratulations to Ukraines Larysa Soloviova, who achieved the 3rd Place on the online voting of the IWGA for the Greatest Athlete of all Time.
Larysa really deserves to be on the podium as she is a really outstanding woman in our sport. She is the only powerlifter who could win on 4 editions of the World Games a gold medal. And she did it on 4 editions on row, which makes this achievement even more glorious and which is a proof of her constancy over many years.
Larysa is a real champion and a great ambassador for our beloved sport. With this prestigious win of the third place at the IWGA Voting she represents the sport of powerlifting in the most positive way.
The whole powerlifting family is proud of Larysa Soloviova and we wish her a lot of success for the future and maybe also a 5th Gold Medal at the World Games 2022 in USA.
