It is with profound sadness that we share with you the passing of Mr. Fred Sterry, the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the British Powerlifting Federation. Mr. Sterry was a member of British Powerlifting for over 50 years. He also served as an International Referee for over 30 years and most recently served as the British Powerlifting Federation’s Championship Secretary. Mr. Sterry was inducted into the British Powerlifting Hall of Fame in 2012.

“Fred was a dynamic and key person in the success of British Powerlifting over the years. He served the sport with great sacrifice. We shall miss him.”
