IPF Sanctions Vilma Ochoa for Anti-Doping Rule Violation

The International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) announced today that Vilma Ochoa from Ecuador received a two-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected in-competition on 08 December 2021, revealed the presence of Methylhexaneamine which is listed in Section S6 of the WADA Prohibited List as a Stimulant.
The athlete’s period of ineligibility will conclude on 13 May 2024. Until that time, the Athlete is subject to a prohibition against participation purusant to Article 10.4.1 of the IPF Anti-Doping Rules.
