IPF Sanctions Veronika Broner for Anti-Doping Rule Violation

The International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) announced today that Veronika Broner from Kazakhstan received a four-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected out-of-
competition on 17 February 2022, revealed the presence of Drostanolone which is listed in Section S1.1 of the WADA Prohibited List as an Anabolic Androgenic Steroid.

The athlete’s period of ineligibility will conclude on 25 March 2026. Until that time, the Athlete is subject to a prohibition against participation purusant to Article 10.4.1 of the IPF Anti-Doping Rules.
