International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) has issued an anti-doping rule violation, which includes a three-
year period of ineligibility against Omer Alperen Gumus from Türkiye. The athlete’s urine sample, collected
In-competition on 06 April 2023, revealed the presence of Drostanolone, which is listed in Section S1 of the
WADA Prohibited List as an Anabolic Androgenic Steroid.
The athlete’s period of ineligibility will conclude on 08 May 2026. Until that time, the Athlete is subject to a
prohibition against participation purusant to Article 10.4.1 of the IPF Anti-Doping Rules.
