IPF Sanctions Mohammad Reza Shokri for Anti-Doping Rule Violation

The International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) announced today that Mohammad Reza Shokri from Iran received a four-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The ahtlete’s urine sample, collected in-competition on 29 July 2021, revealed the presence of stanozolol and metandienone, both considered S1.1 Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) under the 2021 WADA Prohibited List.

The athlete’s period of ineligibility will conclude on 29 July 2025. Until that time, the Athlete is subject to a prohibition against participation purusant to Article 10.4.1 of the IPF Anti-Doping Rules.
