IPF Sanctions Joey Awala Shaw for Anti-Doping Rule Violation

International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) has issued an Anti-Doping Rule Violation, which includes a two (2) year period of ineligibility against Joey Awala Shaw from Great Britain for violation of IPF Anti-Doping Rule Article 2.4 – Whereabouts Failures by an Athlete.

The Athlete’s period of ineligibility was set to conclude on 19 February 2028, however pursuant to Article 5.6 of the IPF Anti-Doping Rules, the Athlete’s period of ineligibility will not commence until the Athlete has given notice to IPF of their intent to resume competing. The Athlete continues to be subject to a prohibition against participation purusant to Article 10.4.1 of the IPF Anti-Doping Rules until such a time that his period of ineligibility is served in its entirity.
