International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) announced today that Danzan Tuvshintugs from Mongolia received a four (4) year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected In-competition on 11 September 2022, revealed the presence of Meldonium, which is listed in Section S4 of the WADA Prohibited List as a Hormone and Metabolic Modulator.
The athlete’s period of ineligibility will conclude on 08 November 2026. Until that time, the Athlete is subject to a prohibition against participation purusant to Article 10.4.1 of the IPF Anti-Doping Rules.
