Dear lifters, officials and member federations,
Last week we learned of the passing of Japanese lifter Manabu Ogata after receiving medical treatment for about a year. He was a Japanese Master gold medallist in bench press in the 75kg class and a 2 x World Master bench press champion. His biggest achievent was pressing a world master 4 record of 145kg in 2011!
On behalf of myself and the IPF Executive Committee we send our deepest condolences to Mr. Ogata's family, friends and lifting associates. Mr. Manabu Ogata will be sadly missed!
