Dear lifters, officials and member federations,
On Wednesday 24 October we learned of the passing of Danish lifter Charlotte Esbjorn who was involved in a tragic accident.
She was not involved in powerlifting for long but she certainly made her mark in the IPF by winning the 2018 European Classic Powerlifting Championship and going on to become the 2018 IPF World Masters II Champion in the -72kg class. Charlotte held 4 World Records and 14 European Records at the age of 50.
On behalf of myself and the IPF Executive Committee we send our deepest condolences to Charlotte’s family, friends and lifting associates. Charlotte will be sadly missed!
