We are shocked to hear of the untimely passing of promising young French athlete, Stanley Odin.
He was a fantastic powerlifter whose career was in the ascendant. In the summer of this year, he took part in his very first world championships and secured the bronze medal in the super heavyweight class, winning his place at The World Games in 2025.
We are saddened that he will not be with us in Chengdu - his presence will be much missed there and at all future competitions.
We offer our condolences to his family, friends and team mates. May he rest in peace.
