Dear IPF Member Federations, Dear friends,
I’m very sad to report the passing of Mr. Lee Chun-Hsiang after a short bout with cancer.
Mr. Lee Chun-Hsiang served as the Vice-President of the Chinese Taipei Association, and was also a very active IPF Category I Referee for 25 years.
Mr. Lee was one of the original founders of the Chinese Taipei Powerlifting Association, and was an active athlete, and lifted in several IPF World Open and Asian Championships. During 1990, he won the Bronze Medal at the Asian Championships in Chinese Taipei.
Mr. Lee contributed a great amount of time to developing the sport of powerlifting, not only in Chinese Taipei, but the Asian Region. The IPF recognizes and greatly appreciates those efforts!
We shall miss Mr. Lee, and on behalf of my colleagues on the IPF Executive Committee, we send our sincerest condolences to Mr. Lee’s many friends, and most importantly to his family, as well as to all of the athletes, past and present, of the Chinese Taipei Powerlifting Association.
Mr. Lee shall be remembered and we shall dearly miss him. His memory shall live on in all of us.
With deep respect,
Gaston Parage
President International Powerlifting Federation
